An ultrasonic transducer is a device used to convert

2020/09/20

An ultrasonic transducer for ultrasonic sensor transmits ultrasonic waves into the air and detects reflected waves from an object. There are many applications for ultrasonic products, such as in intrusion alarm systems, automatic door openers and backup sensors for automobiles. Accompanied by the rapid development of information processing technology, new fields of application for ultrasonic products, such as factory automation equipment and car electronics, are increasing and should continue to do so. Using its unique piezoelectric ceramics manufacturing technology developed over many years.

Ultrasonic signals are like audible sound waves, except the frequencies are much higher. The ultrasonic transducers have piezoelectric crystals which resonate to a desired frequency and convert electric energy into acoustic energy and vice versa. The sound waves which are transmitted are reflected from a target back to the ultrasonic transducer. An output signal is produced to perform some kind of indicating or control function. A minimum distance from the sensor is required to provide a time delay so that the 'echoes' can be interpreted. Variables which can affect the operation of ultrasonic sensing include: target surface angle, reflective surface roughness or changes in temperature or humidity. The targets can have any kind of reflective form - even round objects.

Precise distance(s) of an object moving to and from the sensor are measured via time intervals between transmitted and reflected bursts of ultrasonic sound. The target detected at six inches from sensor and moving to 10 inches. The distance change is continuously calculated and outputted. Ultrasonic transducer for ultrasonic sensor have long been used for range measurements, tank level control, web brake and proximity detection when difficult environments, challenging reflection surfaces or the need for extreme accuracy render traditional optical sensing devices unsuitable.

An Ultrasonic Sensor is light-weight & compact it has high sensitivity and high sound pressure and is very reliable as an ultrasonic generator. Ultrasonic Generator convert the power supply (100-250 Volts, 50-60 Hz) into a 20 to 30 kHz, 800-1000 Volts electrical signal. This signal is applied to piezo-electrical ceramics (included in the converter) that will convert this signal into mechanical oscillations these oscillations will be amplified by the booster and converter, thus creating a hammer. The converter converts electricity into high frequency mechanical vibration. The active elements are usually piezoelectric ceramics. The booster (optional) serves as an amplitude transformer. Amplitude magnification or reduction is achieved by certain design features or the geometrical shape of the booster. Ultrasonic generator provides the accurate amount of energy required to run the ultrasonic sensor and can be used for distance measuring, level monitoring, presence detection, ranging, proximity sensing and many other automated, industrial and scientific applications.
